A full day of first aid training offsite is real downtime, and most of that day is theory. This programme brings comprehensive, ANZCOR-aligned first aid training to your team’s devices, built around your site. Staff master the essentials in Part 1 in under an hour, work through Part 2 when ready, and you keep total visibility on a live dashboard.
Who is this course for?
It is built for New Zealand organisations that want their people confident and ready in an emergency without losing whole days to offsite courses. It suits logistics, manufacturing, warehousing and any workplace that wants a consistent first aid baseline.
The content is built using official ANZCOR guidelines and can be tailored with your own site context, so the training feels real for your team.

How this fits with the hands-on CPR training
Let us be straight with you about what this is, because it saves everyone time.
We do not run offsite classroom sessions, so there is no schedule to send you. We do the theory, online and self-paced. Hands-on resuscitation needs someone in the room watching your technique, and that is properly the domain of the providers who do it every day. What we suggest is pairing the two, and the numbers stack up well.
The theory, with us
Introduction to First Aid, Part 1 and Part 2, built on the official ANZCOR guidelines so the steps reflect current best practice. Part 1 covers the primary survey and the DRSABCD protocol, managing an emergency scene, the recovery position, and the information to hand over to the ambulance crew. Part 2 carries on from there. Self-paced on any device. Most people finish Part 1 in under 30 minutes and Part 2 in under an hour, and everyone gets a branded certificate for their records.
$49 per person, including GST.
The practical, with a local provider
For the hands-on part your people need a face-to-face course that carries NZQA unit standard 6402, Provide Basic Life Support. That covers CPR, AED use, choking, shock and life-threatening bleeding, and it is assessed by an assessor watching the learner perform, which is exactly why it cannot be done online.
As an example, Practical Training Solutions run a CPR course at their Browns Bay centre. At the time of writing it is around $85 including GST for roughly four hours, face to face. Most providers around Auckland offer something equivalent at a similar price. Check current pricing and dates directly with the provider.
What that adds up to
- Our theory, Part 1 and Part 2: $49
- Practical CPR unit standard with a provider: around $85
- Total per person: around $134 including GST
Your people come out with an NZQA unit standard on the practical side and a full theory grounding they worked through without leaving the floor. Set that against a full-day comprehensive first aid course and you save both money and most of a working day per person.
What you get. A Capability Solutions workplace first aid certificate, following the ANZCOR Guidelines. It covers the theory, not the practical, and it is not an NZQA unit standard. The practical assessment is NZQA unit standard 6402, Provide Basic Life Support, and it is done face to face with a local provider.
Common questions
Is online first aid training as effective?
For theory and situational awareness, yes. Using site-specific context makes the training relevant, and it dramatically reduces downtime compared with an eight-hour offsite course.
Does this meet NZ standards?
The content is built on the official ANZCOR Guidelines, so the technical steps reflect current best practice. On the compliance question underneath it: this is the theory, and it does not carry an NZQA unit standard. For the practical assessment your people also need NZQA 6402 from a face to face provider. We cover the theory, they cover the hands-on assessment.
Is this a workplace first aid certificate?
Yes. You get a Capability Solutions workplace first aid certificate, following the ANZCOR Guidelines, and it covers the theory. It is not an NZQA unit standard. NZQA unit standard 6402 requires an assessor to watch the learner perform CPR, use an AED and place someone in the recovery position, so it cannot be assessed online by anyone. Pair our $49 theory with a local provider's practical course, around $85, and you have both halves for roughly $134 per person.
Can we track progress across multiple sites?
Yes. Your manager dashboard provides a live view of completion across your whole organisation.
How is it priced?
It is $49 incl. GST per person for the bundle, which covers both Part 1 and Part 2. If you are training a whole organisation, Capability Hub covers unlimited staff with branded courses and a live compliance dashboard from $160 plus GST per month.
